AFRODITE – “THE GODDESS OF LOVE”

They call it the world’s oldest profession. Sex and emotions for sale.
But it’s more than that. It is love. Fervor. Since the beginning of time,
it is whats has inspired us, given us lavishly happiness
and kept the world together – but also what has led us to evil, eating us up
inside and killed us.

Love is ruled in all shades and shapes by Aphrodite, who is worshiped
as the Goddess of sexuality, seduction and love. She is naked.
Not only physically, also mentally. thoughtless,
because nothing and noone can touch her
Alone she observes the dangers that lurk when we
have what, the whole world wants. Love.

The success is not for anyone. Only the privileged can afford to keep
It close. Reserve It to loved onces. We only have enough of of It for ourselves.
While those whom are less privileged, are forced to sell it to survive.
All is fair in love and war.

The seduction is no longer Aphrodite’s gift to us. It is our
curse. So our guards are held up. The mask is closely strapped around
our soul. So they will not recieve our love. They will think they do, but they don’t..
we own our own love. What we do with it, and who we give it to,
is up to us. It is our gift and our curse.

DIONYSOS – “THE GOD OF WINE”

The God of wine, better known as Dionysus, was the ruler of festivities and wherever he was, the party was. Surrounded by his female attendants, the Maenads, he was the protagonist of the cultic orgies and feasts, which took place on earth and in the kingdom of Gods.
But what happens when past festivals is brought to the present, at a time where prescription drugs and strong alcoholic beverages dominate, and a time where the so-called “superstars” lose control of the feast, themselves and the situation?
The party is turned into a nightmare.
Dionysus has failed. He is frustrated. Lonely. He hates that the present has killed the feast, and that the party is now demanding its victims among the revelers. Now the downturn and the decay are hailed and the God of wine is not pleased.

ARES – THE GOD OF WAR

First of 24 Sneak peek videos from photographer Tomace’s new project entitled “TITANS & OLYMPIANS”. THE project is ongoing. And is expected in Autumn 2012. The video is meant as a teasers and to show a little bit about the thought process behind each of the images. More information about the galerie opening as soon as everything is getting closer

“TITANS & OLYMPIANS” is a photographic project based on the idea that the ancient gods are still amongst us – but they live in a world where people do not worship them anymore. The Olympians sit passively and stare at a time that is about to disintegrate, a time where chaos rules and where their divine qualifications are no longer in demand – Loneliness, frustrations and uselessness are what haunt them.

In the portrayal of the titans, the world as it is today is depicted. They are the ancestors of the Olympian gods, but they have been overthrown and sent to the underworld by their own children. They live in the world the Olympian gods are distanced from and have accepted the living conditions that have been given them.

Through Titans & Olympians a shift in generation and a shift in values are portrayed. The shift in values, where attention has shifted from the divine to the corporeal, from the sublime and imaginative to the place where man has taken the position as his own god.

“TITANS & OLYMPIANS” consists of 24 photographic works. 12 portraying the titans and 12 portraying the Olympians.

For each photographic work, TOMACE produces a video, that tells the contemporary story about each god. The highly recognized music producer Rune Rask and christian w. produces the sound scape for each video and picture.

The videos are released continuously until the opening of the exhibition in September 2012.

This saturday, I finally did the first shoot of “We Will Take You Home” It felt so good! I have NEVER in my entire career, had such a huge setup! I can’t begin to describe how it is to work in film light! The outcome is so organic and surreal. I have to thank the entire crew and cast on this first chapter of my new venture into my childhood memories.

A deep hearted thank you from me.

Just a quick update. I’m still here… at least I think so. As you all properly know, I am doing two new projects at the same time. Titans & Olympians and WE WILL TAKE YOU HOME. That is why I dont have too much time to either do drawings or updates. Everything is going well and I can’t wait to show you all, what I am doing. I think TITANS & OLYMPIANS is going to be the first exhibition I’ll do. And that is going to be the first project I will release since I did WABWOT. WE WILL TAKE YOU HOME, is a more personal project and is way bigger, in terms of production so it will take a little bit longer to finish. I will try my best to keep you updated.

An update of things.

I just got back from New York. This time I was there, just to be there. had no plans of any sort, just wanted to hang out with friends. And that is what I did and I meet so many new people, that inspired me a great deal! As I have written many times here on my blog. I’m have been somewhat MIA, in 2011 doing a lot of planning. I have two new exhibitions. “WE WILL TAKE YOU HOME” & “TITANS & OLYMPIANS” It’s kind of sucking the lige out of me, but it is an amazing journey and I can’t wait to show you.
people often write and ask me if I am not doing anything for the music industry anymore. The answer is kind of no, with a little yes on top. I know it is confusing, but I really try to focus on other things for the moment. I LOVE doing music, when I am a part of a project that makes sense and where you are feeling the music 100%, so if the sorts of Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Drake or any of that breed what to play.. call me ;)

On another note. I have started to paint again. and will continue to do that until I get so good, I start to scare myself :)
